SANS 10087-1 : 2024

Compliance & safety standards for LPGas installations.

LP Gas installations in South Africa are governed by SANS 10087. These standards exist to protect life, property and every occupant of the building. Techno Maintenance installs to these standards on every job — without exception.

01

Strict SANS compliance

All installations must strictly comply with SANS Regulations. No shortcuts, no exceptions.

02

LP Gas is NOT a DIY project

All LPGas work must be carried out by a Registered Practitioner. Unregistered work is unsafe and unlawful.

03

Certificate of Compliance

A formal Certificate of Compliance (CoC) / Certificate of Conformity must be issued immediately after all installations.

04

Verify your Practitioner

Always check and verify the validation of your Practitioner before allowing any work to begin.

05

Commercial = Commercial Practitioner

Commercial installations must exclusively be executed by a certified Commercial Practitioner.

06

Fire Chief inspection

The Fire Chief must inspect all completed Commercial Installations before hand-over.

Important

Ask for the Certificate of Compliance — every time.

Your insurance, resale, and safety depend on it. A registered practitioner will issue a CoC on completion. If they can't, the installation is not compliant.
